Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that are saved on the User's device when visiting a website. On each subsequent visit, cookies saved on the user's device are sent back to the website that originated them (first-party cookies) or to another site that recognizes them (third-party cookies). Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize the User's device. They have various purposes such as, for example, allowing efficient navigation between pages, remembering favorite sites and, in general, improving the browsing experience. They also help ensure that advertising content displayed online is more targeted to the user and their interests. Based on the function and purpose of use, cookies can be divided into technical cookies, profiling cookies, third-party cookies. Some cookies are essential (called essential cookies) and cannot be disabled using the functions of this website. In general, cookies can be completely deactivated in your browser at any time.
Consent management
When you first access the site, a banner is displayed offering three options:
"CONFIRM" - the User accepts all cookies: technical, statistics and marketing (personalized advertising).
"NECESSARY ONLY" - only the technical cookies necessary for the site to function are used, without any statistical or advertising tracking.
"CUSTOMIZE" - the User chooses which categories to enable (Statistics, Marketing, Functional) and confirms with "SAVE PREFERENCES". Necessary cookies are always active.
Until the User makes a choice, statistics and marketing services are not loaded. The choice is kept for 180 days, after which the banner is shown again. The User can change it or withdraw consent at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page: the categories removed are disabled and their cookies deleted.
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those whose use does not require the User's consent pursuant to art. 122 paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 196/2003. They include essential cookies, also called "strictly necessary", which enable functions without which it would not be possible to fully use the Site: for example keeping the cart, access to the customer area and the checkout, and remembering the choices made in the cookie banner. They are first-party cookies, set exclusively by our website, and cannot be disabled using the Site's functions.
Statistics and marketing cookies
In addition to technical cookies, the site uses, only with the User's consent, statistics cookies, which help us understand how the pages are used, and marketing cookies, which measure advertising campaigns and show personalized ads. Consent is given and withdrawn from the banner, for each category. Refusing consent does not prevent access to the Site, except for the functions or content that use such cookies.
The site uses Google's Consent Mode: until the User accepts the Marketing category, Google tags do not store cookies on their device.
Google Tag Manager (Category: Necessary) - a Google tool that loads the Google Ads tags on the site. It does not set cookies of its own: each tag it loads follows the consent of its category. More information at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Hotjar (Category: Statistics) - anonymously records how the pages are used (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps) to improve the site. Hotjar Ltd is based in Malta (European Union). More information at: https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy/
Google Ads (Category: Marketing) - measures the conversions of advertising campaigns and shows ads to people who have already visited the site (remarketing). More information at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) (Category: Marketing) - measures the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, shows personalized ads and does remarketing. More information at: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
Third-party cookies
During navigation on our site, the User may also receive cookies from sites or web servers other than ours (so-called 'third-party' cookies) on their device: this happens because the site may contain elements such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that reside on servers other than the one on which the requested page is located. In other words, these cookies are set directly by managers of websites or servers other than the Site. These third parties could theoretically set cookies while you visit the Site and thus obtain information relating to the fact that you have visited our website. If the User decides not to grant authorization for the use of third-party cookies (by choosing "NECESSARY ONLY"), only the Site functions that do not require such cookies can be used.
The third parties that install cookies through this site, only for the categories accepted by the User, are:
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC - Google Ads, Google Tag Manager
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited - Meta Pixel
- Hotjar Ltd - Hotjar
Data transfer to third countries
Marketing cookies (if accepted by the User) may involve the transfer of personal data to the United States of America, where Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc. are based. The transfer takes place on the basis of the adequacy decisions adopted by the European Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Hotjar stores data in the European Union.
